Lantern Festival
Warsaw, as the capital of Poland, attracts visitors from all over the world. In a similar way Bangkok – the capital of Thailand, is one of the hottest destinations for travellers that are looking for unforgettable experiences. This big,Thai city will charm you with its nightlife, opened until late massage parlours and markets, as well as a variety of attractions, from street food stalls to 5-star luxury hotels with stunning city views.
While the splendour and night lights of the big city cannot be missed, there are many less travelled places or less known traditions in Thailand that can sometimes go unnoticed by a rushing traveller.
Today I’m gonna share with you one of the gems of Thai heritage that you may have never heard of – the Lantern Festival known as Light Up The Night Sky.
You can experience the sky bathed in the lights of lanterns in Chiang Mai. This festival is a symbol of releasing anxiety and worry from your heart and soul. You can achieve this by releasing a paper hot air balloon (khom loi) over the night sky. The result is simply magical – thousands of lanterns scattered across the deep navy-blue stratosphere. The view brought me into a hypnotic state. I still remember a feeling of blissful joy spreading all over my body.
The good news is that similar feelings are evoked by our messages – at least that’s what our customers keep saying. 😉 So if you would like to experience a bit of the magic of Thai traditions without leaving Warsaw, please feel invited to our place – Nattakan at Zgoda 5. We are waiting for you with a professional service and pleasant atmosphere, healing touch of masseuses from the Land of Smile and a ginger drink warming you up after the massage.
